SSH + NAT + WAN = Help!!!

Dear Orange community I have a big problem with my new Livebox Play.

I need SSH acces (or any other service) from the outside. Thus I have done the usual configuration

1)Start the SSH service and open the 2010 port on my raspberry pi

2)Assign a static IP to the raspberry pi (let's say 192.168.1.10)

3)Configure NAT to open the port 2010

4)Configure the firewall to accept traffic on the port 2010

Now, on the raspberry pi I have no problems as I can ssh into it within the LAN. The problems arise when I try to do it from outside. So let's suppose my external IP is A.B.C.D if I do ssh -p 2010 A.B.C.D I cannot login.

However, if I use some online service such as "www.canyouseeme.org" I see the port 2010 as opened but still I canno connect...I tried to change the server or the service or the port....always the same result. The port is seen as opened, the service is accessible from LAN but not from WAN.

I hope that you can help me...

Re : SSH + NAT + WAN = Help!!!

Hello @84matte84,

I hope that you can understand my poor english...

How do you make you try ? You must test from outside of you Livebox net : from an other local network than yours, Livebox don't support loopback !

Have a nice day...

Cordialement, mg36

Re : SSH + NAT + WAN = Help!!!

Dear mg36 thanks for the reply.

What I did is to connect from within another machine but on the WAN address... this means that from my personal laptop (address 192.168.1.13) I did:

ssh -p 2010 192.168.1.10  -> this worked

ssh -p 2010 A.B.C.D           -> this DID NOT work

Hello,

ssh -p 2010 192.168.1.10  -> this worked

This is from your local network, but

ssh -p 2010 A.B.C.D           -> this DID NOT work

must be executed from a computer which is not connected on your Livebox...
