I need help from someone in Orange that speaks English. I have ordered Fibre 8 months ago but still no Fibre has been installed. The estimated date of activation keeps on shifting forward. I need to know what I can expect from Orange.

Vos voisins sont bien éligibles à la fibre, comme vous l'étiez avant de passer votre commande.

Le problème détecté lors de votre commande pourrait également les concerner, dans la mesure où ils semblent raccordés au même point réseau. Seule une commande de leur part permettrait de le confirmer.

L'arrêt du cuivre est effectivement prévu pour fin 2029, et le déploiement de la fibre est déjà réalisé dans votre secteur. Le blocage que vous rencontrez est propre à votre adresse : d'après les informations dont je dispose, il n'existe pas d'infrastructure — poteau ou gaine — entre le point de branchement et votre logement. Une étude technique, et très probablement des travaux, seront nécessaires.

Pour clarifier le fonctionnement du secteur : certains opérateurs d'infrastructure sont aussi opérateurs commerciaux et proposent des offres internet, d'autres se limitent à la gestion du réseau. Dans tous les cas, c'est l'opérateur d'infrastructure qui pilote la mise en place et la maintenance du réseau — l'opérateur commercial, quel qu'il soit, n'a pas la main sur ces aspects.

Malheureusement, les recours restent limités dans votre situation. Une piste envisageable : en parler au maire de votre commune, qui dispose peut-être d'un contact direct avec l'opérateur d'infrastructure concerné.

The issue detected during your order could also affect them, given that they appear to be connected to the same network point. Only an order on their part would confirm this.

The copper network switch-off is indeed scheduled for the end of 2029, and fibre deployment has already been completed in your area. The blockage you are experiencing is specific to your address: based on the information available to me, there is no infrastructure — pole or conduit — between the connection point and your property. A technical survey, and most likely some works, will be required.

To clarify how the sector operates: some infrastructure operators are also commercial operators and offer internet packages, whilst others focus solely on network management. In all cases, it is the infrastructure operator who oversees the installation and maintenance of the network — the commercial operator, whichever it may be, has no control over these matters.

Unfortunately, the options available to you remain limited in your situation. One possible avenue worth exploring: raising the matter with your local mayor, who may have a direct contact with the infrastructure operator concerned.

Thank you so much for your explaination.

As you explained, there's no physical connection (pole or conduit) from the network point to my property. As I do have ADSL, it would seem there is a physical connection. There is indeed an Orange Pole (a composite type) on which a box is fitted for my connection. From there the cable is routed (through the ground) to the manhole on my property. From the manhole to the house there are multiple conduits available. Could this connection be the one that is "missing" and is the blockage at this point in time?

And if this is not sufficient, does this mean that in 2029 I do not have an internet connection anymore?

Sorry to keep bothering you with my questions, but I start to get a bit worried about the availability of my internet as a whole.

quand je vais sur un forum anglais, je prends la peine d'utiliser google translate, ça s'appelle le respect
