Plex et transcodage HEVC décodeur play

Bonjour,

J'utilise plex chez moi, et j'aimerais faire lire mes vidéos HEVC par le décodeur play. Ce n'est pas possible en natif (manque les codec) et j'attends de plex qu'il effectue le transcodage. (Je précise que le transccodage fonctionne sur mon téléphone, le pc est assez puissant pour le tenir !)

Le décodeur play orange est un peu stupide car il envoie pas son profil au serveur plex, ce qui fait qu'il lui balance tout en direct play. J'ai essayé de créer un profil DLNA, qui est bien reconnu par le serveur.

Cependant, lorsque je lance le film en hevc, ça passe pas, ça me fait une erreur "ne peut lire la vidéo".

salut @RT26

la France ayant fait le choix du MPEG4 pour la HD, tu ne trouveras aucune box d'un quelconque FAI capable de décoder le HEVC.

et les FAI partent du principe que tu ne lis que du MPEG4, et donc ne s'encombrent pas de remonter des profils pour lire autre chose

il est donc normal que tu aies une erreur de lecture

Autrement dit, plex doit convertir à la demande de lecture les formats non compatibles avec le client (dont le hevc ici) en un codec qui sera lu par la box (par ex le h264)...

et je tiens à te signaler que la HD n'a aucun rapport avec le codec employé, ce n'est que le moyen de coder le film... La HD c'est haute définition soit 720 pixel de hauteur, ce qui peut être inscrit sur n'importe quel codec

sauf que coder la fonction de renvoi client pour une demande de transcodage n'intéresse pas les FAI dans la mesure où cela reste, je pense, une demande plutôt limitée.

Implémenter une fonction, ici la demande de transcodage, a un coût et les FAI font la balance entre coût et besoin/intérêt.

Si le besoin est fort, ils le feront, si il est marginal, il ne le feront pas, c'est aussi simple que ça.

PS : je sais ce qu'est le HEVC et le MPEG, merci de me prendre pour un idiot.

Le décodeur TV ne fais pas une demande de transcodage, mais qu'il ne fait qu'informer le serveur dlna de sa capacité à lire tel ou tel codec/conteneur

Enfin bref, on arrête là alors car c'est toi qui m'a un peu pris pour idiot au début...

L'objet de ma demande est simple : je sais que l'infromation des codecs supportés n'est pas transmise, mais il est possible d'ajouter manuellement des profils dans plex de manière a rendre automatique le transcodage. Je n'arrive pas à trouver les bons paramètres. Est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà fait ça ?

As-tu essayé avec ta smart TV, si tu en as une, par DLNA ou l'application PLEX sur la TV ?

Me concernant, seul le premier choix marche et donc sans transcodage (et negat pour le x265) mais plus de l'application depuis le passage à la LiveBox 4...
