Bonjour,

Je dois un cas étrange.
Je veux créer une nouvelle adresse e-mail pour un nouvel utilisateur.
Donc je tape un nouveau nom.
Puis orange dit: le nom choisi est bon.
Mais je ne l'ai pas encore inscrit.
Puis-je changer le mot de passe.
Et puis, dit-Orange: L'adresse e-mail est déjà utilisée.
Je suis convaincu qu'il est de mon adresse e-mail.
Mais que dois-je faire maintenant pour utiliser cette adresse e-mail de toute façon?

I am sorry. The french sounded OK to me :manhappy:
I hope my english is a bit better.

It is about a new mailaddress/user:

I created a new user and I created also a new name.
Orange gave the message that the chosen name was OK.
But then I went back and I changed the password.

Next I got the message from Orange: your new name has already been used.
It seems that the name chosen by me, is reserved.

But I doubt it, because Orange first issued a notice that the name was good.

So my question is:

is that name reserved already for me (and wait a couple of days) or do I have to use an new username?

Hi @nick31

One of two things :

- That name combination is the one of somebody else

- That adress had already existed and has been deleted before trying to recreate it. Therfore, it is "burned" for 6 months and no one car redefine it as such for that period of time... Unless you call customer support and ask for a "dégrillage", so that you can define it again.

Thank you.I appreciate your response.

No, I will not call customer support. I have not the best experience with them.

One of the problems we had with them (besides a bad connection we still have) was:

We moved several times in France and with every move, it proved impossible to maintain our old email adresses.

That gave much troubles because we had to inform all our friends, family, and some business clients etc.

So in this case, I will create another name.That's the best and easiest solution.

Cet échange vieux d'il y a presque un an ne te concerne pas.

Il arrive parfois que pour mieux répondre à un interlocuteur, on soit obligé de le faire dans sa langue natale.

Si ça t'interesse tant que ça, utilise un traducteur en ligne.
