Foreigner going to France

Hello! I will be staying in France for a period of 4-6months. I wish to get a French mobile number with calls, SMS and mobile internet data plan. During this period, I will be travelling around Europe as well.I hope to be able to use data roaming as I am travelling in other European countries, as well as to access the internet while I am in France. I will be cancelling the mobile line/plan after I leave France. May I know which SIM offer will work best for me?

Additionally, I might be interested in purchasing a mobile phone. However, may I know if the mobile phone will work with other SIM card providers (other country’s provider) or only Orange SIMs?
