Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
No Hello either..!!!!!!!! @SuperSlowWifi
On ne sait rien du terminal avec lequel tu mesures le débit. Quelle norme 802.11.?
A quelle distance le terminal est-il de la box ou du routeur.? Obstacles ou pas.?
Est-ce idem avec ou sans routeur.?

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Dear Daniel35
I am using an Asus Zen xt 8 Wifi 6 Mesh router set plugged in to the Livebox 5 creating my own mesh wifi network.
I am sitting right next to the Asus router ... within 3 meters distance.
Have used this setup before with the IPS router in Bridge mode getting speeds of at least 600.
Still .. I get 100 up and down - my Fibre connection should go up to 2 Gbps.
So .. it seems Orange is basically managing the speed down to 100 Mbps.
Hope this is clear enough ..
Best
Jacob

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Hello @SuperSlowWifi
A little clearer.
Additional questions: how far away from the livebox is your router from the livebox, if it is not configured in access point mode? Are there any obstacles?
Have you done a test live on the livebox without going through the router, with an 802.11ac or ax standard terminal. With what result?
Greetings
Daniel35.

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Dear Daniel35
With direct ethernet connection speed is approx 1 Gb .. might be my cable or computer is maxed out. Will check once I get hold of a Cat8 cable.
My router is in access point mode. And I am using 5 Ghz.
My router is quite far from the Livebox - 25m I estimate. But .. should not remove 90% I hope …

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Hello @SuperSlowWifi
You did not answer my question:
"Have you done a test live on the livebox without going through the router, with an 802.11ac or ax standard terminal. With what result?"
@SuperSlowWifi a écrit :With direct ethernet connection speed is approx 1 Gbits/s
It's OK.
This is the maximum per device connected to a livebox 5.
@SuperSlowWifi a écrit :My router is in access point mode. And I am using 5 Ghz.
So, if your wifi router is in access point mode connected to the livebox with a ethernet cable and different SSID, the problem is to be found on the router side.
In my humble opinion... and depending on the answer to my first question.😉
Greetings

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Dear Daniel35
I have tried using the Livebox Wifi directly if this is what you mean by "test live on the livebox without going through the router, with an 802.11ac or ax standard terminal. With what result?"
Here I get a maximum of around 450 when I stand right next to the Livebox using the 5 Ghz wifi - after having forced it to give me the option to choose directly between 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz by having it create two separate networks.
I should note that I also using the 5 Ghz net on my own router.
Does this answer your question?

Hello @SuperSlowWifi

Yes.
The speed via wifi directly on your livebox (450 Mbits/s) is correct for wifi. If the router, even with the 5 Ghz band, caps at 100 Mbits/s, it's your router that has a problem ... or the ethernet cable that connects your router, in access point mode, to the livebox. If a wire is cut, or only 1 faulty contact, or cat < 5e, then the speed will cap at 100 Mbits/s.

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Hello @SuperSlowWifi
Can you try to connect your PC by Ethernet cable at the Asus and make a speedtest.
If you have only 100 Mb/s, it is your cable between the Livebox and the Asus.
Make sure that you use a CAT5E min cable between PC and Asus.

Re: Wifi capped at 100 ?
Dear Daniel35
Apologies for not answering sooner.
It seems there was some problem with the settings at the Orange centra.
Anyway - tried what you suggested - and indeed there are apparently different cables installed in my apartment - some faster than others. Good catch.
In the end I have identified the "fast" cables and after the central settings have been fixed I am now indeed able to get wifi speeds of around 600 down and 350 up - sometimes higher/sometimes lower - but still pretty good. Using 5 Ghz.
So. Seems there were a few bugs in the system - some local some central.
Lesson learned :-)
Thanks
Jacob
