No emails getting through

Hello

I've not been receiving any emails of late, I know this as I've sent myself some from Gmail to Orange mail.

My other email clients are working, as when I sent myself an email from Gmail to Gmail it works, but not Orange emails.

Please sort this out as all of my official work it done through Orange.

Hi @Madmaxjsy

How do you acces your mailbox :

  • Mac, Win, Android, Linux, iOs, ...  ?
  • webmail or mail client application ?

Add a delivery confirmation request and set max priority  and then try again, try it also from your Orange mail

Re: No emails getting through

Hi

From a mobile phone, I have Orange email app and an independent client app.

None are recieving any Orange mail, sending doesn't seem to be a problem.

How I received this answer is puzzling 😜

Additionally I'm using Android phone

I just did another test, and sent two emails, one to Orange and the other to Gmail, both from my Orange client, Gmail got through but not Orange.

Which one ?  Gmail client ? K9  Mail ?  Email from Samsung ? ....

Orange mail isn't any client, it's just an interface using Orange's webmail, it's more a browser than a mail client !

How did you cofigure mail receiption.

For an Orange mailbox you must use   secured configuration

ie :

     SSL,

authentication with : clear text passwd

user set to : the mail address

server either

        imap.orange.fr    port : 993

or

        pop.orange.fr      port : 995

Re: No emails getting through

Hello

I replied to this message via my email, did you receive it?

Here it is below.

Hello

I've been using Orange email services for 11 years, I know how it's set up.

I've sent an email with priority set to high like you suggested, still nothing.

If this isn't resolved soon I'm going to have to change my ISP, as I'm buying another house and can't afford to not have a reliable email service.

As I use emails for correspondence and translate them, I don't speak any French, sadly.

Re: No emails getting through

Hello

I've just reset my pop.orange.fr on my phone email app from port 110 as it's always been, to port 995 as you suggested.

Still nothing.

I sent an email to myself from the Orange email app/ thing and I received an email.

What is going on, have Orange suddenly decided to block other mail clients?

Re: No emails getting through

Hi @Madmaxjsy

@PhilDur

In order to check your Email client receiving mails from an Orange account, please try to send a mail to yourself while beeng logged on to this account on Orange portal.

Tell us if you received this mail on the account in webmail mode and if your mail client received it also in client-server mode.

Also check that POP & IMAP access is allowed in your Orange account parameters :

P.S : Incidently, this is a customer's help forum driven by volunteers customers who do not have to be given any order and do not care about your threat to change your ISP.

Re: No emails getting through

Hello

I've tried all of this, I changed pop to IMAP and it wouldn't authenticate, so switch back to pop, which appears to have been accepted, but still not receiving emails.

My threat wasn't meant for you or any helpful person not actually working for Orange.

Please don't take my anger personally.

Why suddenly should my emails stop working after so long working, has Orange changed anything their end, because I haven't at my end.

Anyway, I'll try and get this resolved without bothering you again myself.

Thank you for your time.

Have a nice day

Re: No emails getting through

@Madmaxjsy ,

You do not bother us and we would be happy to help if you contribute to help us helping you by conducting and answering our suggested testings.

I've asked you "In order to check your Email client receiving mails from an Orange account, please try to send a mail to yourself while being logged on to this account on Orange portal.

Tell us if you received this mail on the account in webmail mode and if your mail client received it also in client-server mode."

An answer to my suggested test would have allowed us to concentrate on the actual problem and isolate it to webmail mode or to client-server mode, but since you did not care to provide us with such an answer there is not much more we can do for you.

Why suddenly should my emails stop working after so long working, has Orange changed anything their end, because I haven't at my end.

To my knowledge, Orange has not changed anything and it makes me think that the cause of your problem may be external to Orange and relative to your computing environment settings.

For instance, please check that you do not have any active VPN or hidden VPN in your anti-virus.

Tell us what anti-virus you use and test without it.

Bad move !

An account is define once for all as POP or IMAP, it's not possible to change it.

You can create another account  it should work.

In a mail client you can habe both account for a mailbox one IMPA and one POP account
