thanks for screenshot,

 you have a long ADSL line (>6000meters) but for me there is a technical problem, you would have at least 1.5Mbps on download speed.

 

could you click on this link: http://192.168.1.1  after please copy/past adsl infos of your Livebox.

I fully understand :-) . My monsters are now 26, 20, 18 & 17, but they used to be 11, 5, 3 and 2.

Enough to keep you busy full time during holidays.

Nowadays they sleep till midday.

my children are small,but one day they will become big. (i fear adolescent crisis,i tell me that it would be difficult for me to manage it :p )

 

otherwise,

i see that your noise margine is high (14.7Db)

the lower this value will be,higher you internet speed will be.

 

    the problem is only Orange technical department can change this value.

 

you will need to call orange,tell them that your internet speed is very low and that you have 14Db noise margin. 

 

i don't see other solutions for  the moment,(i search).

Dear Koubi,

 

Thank you for your help so far. I am going to call the technical service of Orange tomorrow.

 

In te mean time I have checked with my neighbour: his landline is also the same length (apprx 7 km) and his download speed is 3,5 Mbps on average.

 

Do you have any experience with customers service at Orange?

In my home country, it usually takes many hours and many choices in automatic telephone menus to get a human being on the telephone.

 

Kids remain kids for a long time... and all of a sudden they are grown-ups. 

During that time, you never realised that you have grown older... eternal youth!
