My father recently passed away in the UK. I am trying to cancel the landline and internet for his house in France.

All we have in the way of paperwork is an old invoice from 2017 - it shows the phone number and a customer number. 

As far as I can understand a registered letter to an address in Lille is the way to go. He hasnt been at the house since Jan 2024 and is still paying 50 euros per month.

Any advise to make this easier?
